It has been many years since this war began, since the raids came, since our army was crushed, ours lives destroyed, and everything we lived for was gone. Yes its been many years, but the fires still burn. The fires within us. On the surface, things have been destroyed beyond what we could repair, and even if we could, they would notice. They might not mind, so long after the war, they might not care about us, because we are no threat, we have been neutralized. But going up there, rebuilding, and them letting us live, that would make us owe them something. That we have survived a meager existence down here, where they don’t know about us, while our destroyers live a peaceful, fruitful life, reminds us of what they did to us, allows us to hate and plan for revenge. So our hate keeps us here, keeps us hidden long after they have forgotten, and will continue to keep us hidden until we can hurt them, because we will. There is a law I once heard, the Law of Equality. Supposedly whatever happens, something of equal consequence should happen. You pay five dollars, you get something worth five dollars, you throw a rock, it will go the distance based on the amount of energy in the throw. You kill some one, eventually you will either be made to suffer or will be killed yourself. You receive the gift of life, you eventually die. But its not an actual Law, and doesn’t always work. For example, everyone pays one dollar into the lottery, but some one wins the pot. Some one could play their entire life, and some one else could walk up, never have done it before, and after only one time, win it all. That’s not exactly equal trade. But equal trade is what we live for. We live for the moment we can leave this place, and repay their betrayal with destruction of our own. We were once the greatest of nations, and slowly, over time, people began to resent us for it. We also let it go to our heads a bit. We began to spread our influence, use it for rightful causes, but people resented it. Rightful or not, it may have been over doing it. When you live with over six billion people on a single globe, and at least 75 percent don’t care for what you're doing, it might be time to step back and think about what you have done. So maybe it was Equality for our country to fall, for our leaders to be taken down, for their influence was what they traded for the fall. But what of us, the regular people, the people with out any real control over what goes on? Yes, we lost all and received nothing for it. We are the children of the previous generation, but we are not our fathers children, and now, after everything that has happened, we live for revenge, we live for Equality.-kuro ( i just liked this and felt like putting it here)
